Newsroom
The last few months
have been very busy for the Hunger Center. Due to an unstable
economy, we have seen our "new clients" increase by more than
20%. This means that we consistently serve more than 1100
people a month. Fortunately, we have some hard working people
and a lot of community support
helping us meet our rising cost of operation.
APRIL: Thank
you Tom Woods and Gateway Manor for the
"Retun to the Tropics" Summer Bash. Delicious food,
yummy cocktails, and great entertainment made this
event a fun-filled evening for all who
attended.
MAY: Art
teachers Edie Mellen and Meg Garbincus did a
terrific job coordinating the "Euclid High School Silent
Art Auction". This year their students replicated the
works of well known artists on clay plates they made
by hand. Thanks to all of you for donating the proceeds
of the Auction to the EHC. Your
time and talent was well
spent helping those in need.
JUNE: The
"Wine Tasting Event" at the Euclid Lakefest, is
quickly becoming our most popular fundraiser. And
why not! What better way to spend a summer evening
than with good wine and friendly people.
Thank you very much to the Event Sponsors
and to
all of the Table Sponsors. Your generosity
made
this a very successful event.
NOVEMBER: Euclid Hospital administered 230 flu shots
at EHC for no-charge.
$10,000 spent on turkeys for Thanksgiving Holiday.
